Soft drink major Coca Cola is keen to set up a mega plant in Telangana with an investment of Rs.1,000 crore.
Top company officials Monday conveyed this to Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and sought the government's support.
Irial Finan, executive vice president and T.Krishna Kumar regional head India of the Coca Cola along with others called on the chief minister.
Briefing Rao of the company's activities, the vice president pointed out that Telangana is the biggest market for his company.
"The team also assured that they will participate in the community development programme of the government," said a statement from the chief minister's office.
Rao assured the delegation of the government's full support including identifying suitable land for their plant.
