Global beverage maker Coca-Cola's Indian bottling arm Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverage will operate its Georgia-branded tea and coffee business in the country, the subsidiary said on Wednesday.
"We will also expand our product range after taking over Georgia's operations from Coca-Cola India to make and distribute hot and cold beverages to consumers across the country," Hindustan said in a statement here.
Hindustan's commercial beverages vice-president S. Giri Sunder will head Georgia's business.
"Our belief in Georgia's products made us to take over its operations, with a view to expanding its business," Hindustan chief executive T. Krishna Kumar said in the statement.
Georgia's pre-mix product is made at Hershey India in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, which is Hindustan's co-packer facility.
