Colombia right-back Santiago Arias on Wednesday started his first training session with Atletico Madrid, a day after he signed a five-year contract with the La Liga side.
The 26-year-old joined Los Rojiblancos from Eindhoven to replace Sime Vrsaljko of Croatia, who moved to Inter Milan on a loan deal, with an option to buy, reports Efe.
Arias is Atletico's sixth signing of the summer after Spain's Rodrigo Hernandez and Antonio Adan, France's Thomas Lemar, Argentina's Nehuen Perez and Portugal's Gelson Martins.
During his spell at Eindhoven, Arias played 136 games and was named the Dutch Eredivisie - top-tier English Premier League - Player of the Year last season.
The right-back Arias has also made 45 international appearances, including in the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
