The Congress on Wednesday declared another list of five candidates for the Lok Sabha seats in Gujarat.
Despite much opposition and protest within the party in Surat, the party high command, taking a firm stand, has gone for Ashok Adhewada as the candidate.
Parthibhai Bhatol has been selected for the Banaskantha seat and Rajendra Thakor for Sabarkantha. Manhar Patel has been selected for the Bhavnagar constituency while Bimal Shah has been selected for the Kheda seat.
Earlier in the day, the Congress had also declared Geeta Patel as candidate from Ahmedabad East.
