Counting of votes polled in 43 local bodies is being held in Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday amid tight security arrangements.
The polls are important for both the ruling BJP and the Congress.
Over eight lakh voters exercised their franchise for the polls in 43 local bodies on August 11.
State Election Commissioner R. Parshuram said the counting is being done at the headquarters of all urban bodies.
There are 37 urban bodies in the scheduled areas where counting is on.
