A court here Tuesday granted Delhi Police 15 more days to complete its probe against Indian Mujahideen (IM) co-founder Yasin Bhatkal and his close aide Asadullah Akhtar in the 2010 Jama Masjid terror attack case.

Delhi Police, in its plea, told the court that they will arresting a wanted terrorist within a week to ten days and this will help them to establish the missing link in the conspiracy.

Earlier, police informed the court that they have received information from Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) about movements of a "wanted terrorist" of the IM in Bihar or Kerala.

Additional Sessions Judge Daya Prakash has allowed police more time to collect evidence against Bhatkal, Akhtar and other accused in the case.

Police said a breakthrough is likely in a short time.

However Bhatkal's counsel opposed the plea and said that the application of prosecution does not disclose the progress of investigation done during the extended 15 days period of investigation granted by court earlier.

Bhatkal, arrested in August last year near the India-Nepal border, is accused of being involved in various terror strikes in the country.
