The Delhi High Court on Wednesday declined to hear a new plea to ban radio cabs in the city on the grounds that these cabs are flouting existing norms and guidelines, saying a similar matter is pending before a bench.

A division bench of Justice Mukta Gupta and Justice V.P. Vaish refused to hear the plea which said that despite the ban order imposed on the US-based cab service provider Uber, it is still plying in Delhi.

The plea noted that an Uber taxi driver recently tried to molest a female passenger, citing the case in which a driver allegedly tried to kiss a female passenger during a ride to Gurgaon on May 31 night.

The court said that the matter is pending before another bench as it refused to hear the plea.

On December 8, 2014, the Delhi government banned Uber and 20 other such companies from operating in Delhi following the alleged rape of a woman executive on December 5 night by a driver of the cab service provider.
