Delhi BJP MP Maheish Girri on Wednesday asked parliament to ensure that all members have a permanent office in their constituencies so that people can approach them with their problems.
Girri, who raised the issue during zero hour, said like government servants MPs should also have their own designated places where they can meet people.
"Some MPs have told me that state governments have given them places along with the district magistrate's office, but most us don't have any offices," said Girri, who is an MP from East Delhi.
His remarks were greeted with thumping of desks by many members cutting across party lines.
All seven MPs from Delhi are from the Bharatiya Janata Party.
