The AIADMK Tuesday charged the DMK with failing to fulfil any of its 2009 Lok Sabha election promises and acting against the interests of Tamils.

Addressing an election rally here, about 100 km from Chennai, Chief Minister Jayalalithaa said the DMK failed the state despite ruling Tamil Nadu and sharing power in the central government.

She said the DMK acted against Tamils on issues like the Cauvery river water dispute with Karnataka and the Mullaperiyar dam involving Kerala.
