Actress Drashti Dhami, who will be seen as a warrior in the TV show "Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani", says that her look was inspired by "Jodhaa Akbar" star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Inspired by Aishwarya's look in the 2008 film, Drashti who plays the role of a queen named Gayatri in the show, will get an illusion about a new trouble brewing in the life of Ranaji (essayed by Siddhant Karnick).
Disguised as a warrior, Gayatri will step out to investigate the matter.
"The new look of a warrior is a big departure from what viewers have seen me as Gayatri. I have never worn such clothes on television, so I am excited to know the audience reaction.
"On the sets, when I tried on the attire, a lot of people said it reminded them of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's warrior look from 'Jodhaa Akhbar'," Drashti said in a statement.
"Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani" airs on Zee TV.
