New Delhi, April 29 (IANS) A 22-year-old commercial vehicle driver stabbed his father-in-law to death here following an argument related to his marital life, police said Monday. The young attacker is on the run.
"Suraj, 40, was killed and his wife Anita, 35, injured in the attack by Pramod at their residence in Alipur area Sunday night," said a police officer.
After an argument, he first attacked Anita and then stabbed Suraj, police said.
Before the attack, Pramod met his wife Pinki, 20, at her uncle's house in Azadpur area in north Delhi and asked her to accompany him to their house in Alipur in north Delhi, police said.
Pinki refused to return to their home and this angered Pramod, who went straight to the house of his in-laws and stabbed Suraj, police said.
Pramod and Pinki got married two years ago and within a few months a marital discord forced her to shift to her parents' house, police said.
