It has almost been a fortnight with no major rainfall reported in Himachal Pradesh and similar conditions would continue the next three days, a weather official said here Sunday.
Precipitation occurred at some places since Saturday, but there was no appreciable change in the minimum and maximum temperatures, the official told IANS.
The weather bureau said the towns of Shimla, Narkanda, Theog, Rohru and Nahan recorded mild rain.
"The monsoon, which became subdued in the region Aug 17, will remain dormant till Sep 3. The western disturbances will be active Sep 4 with chances of moderate to heavy rainfall across the state," the official added.
The state capital recorded a maximum of 21.4 degrees Celsius, while it was 28.9 degrees in Dharamsala, 23.2 degrees in Kalpa in Kinnaur district and 25.4 degrees in Manali.
