Delhi Lt Governor Anil Baijal on Wednesday approved a proposal by the government to implement the 7th Central Pay Commission recommendations in the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC).

"Approved the proposal for implementing 7th Central Pay Commission in DTC. Urge DTC employees to make bus transport in Delhi the best," Baijal tweeted.

The Delhi government's transport department earlier this month sent the proposal to the Lt. Governor after the finance department cleared it.

The move is expected to benefit thousands of DTC employees who have been demanding salary hike for the past few months.
