PSV, Ajax and Feyenoord made no mistakes to strengthen the top three positions in Dutch football league Eredivisie.
Leaders PSV had difficulties against FC Groningen but booked a 2-1 home win on Sunday. Georginio Wijnaldum opened the scoring but after a penalty by Luuk de Jong was saved by goalkeeper Sergio Padt, it was Eric Botteghin who equalised for the visitors, reports Xinhua.
French defender Nicolas Isimat-Mirin became the match-winner (66th minute) with his first goal for PSV.
Ajax had no problems at sc Heerenveen. The visitors took an early lead through Arek Milik and Davy Klaassen. In an attempt to clear, Joel Veltman produced an own goal 10 minutes from half-time but also scored at the other side three minutes later.
The assist for this goal came from Daley Sinkgraven, who also assisted the second goal with a corner. Milik added his second goal in the second half to earn Ajax a 4-1 win.
Heerenveen finished the match with 10-men after a red card for Pele van Anholt for a foul on breakaway player Anwar El Ghazi.
Later, Feyenoord left it late against bottom side FC Dordrecht. Elvis Manu headed in a cross by Jordy Clasie to give Feyenoord the lead but Jeffry Fortes equalised in second half. Substitute Anass Achahbar headed the visitors towards a 2-1 victory in injury-time with his first goal for Feyenoord.
