Second-half goals from Jeremain Lens and Miguel Veloso helped FC Dynamo Kyiv qualify for the UEFA Europa League knockout phase with a 2-0 victory against Portuguese club Rio Ave FC.
Lens broke the deadlock in the 53rd minute, curling the ball into the bottom corner with help of a slight deflection Thursday, reports Xinhu.
Artem Kravets, Andriy Yarmolenko, Lens and Younes Belhanda all passed up excellent opportunities to double the lead before Veloso finally killed the game 12 minutes from time, heading a Yarmolenko cross into the net.
Dynamo Kyiv have collected 12 points after five games in Group J and are through to the round of 32 with a game to spare.
