At least eight people were killed overnight due to rains and landslides in Pakistani Kashmir, police said.
A rockfall hit half a dozen of houses in Sarli Sacha Sharqi village on Saturday night, Dawn online quoted a resident as saying.
A boulder also destroyed a house killing all its residents, he said. The residents launched a rescue operation amid heavy rains.
Civil and military officials joined the rescuers and so far four bodies were recovered, a police official said.
In Bagh district, four people were killed in two different landslide incidents.
About 150 shops were also partially inundated after water level rose dangerously in the district.
The Meteorological Department said on Tuesday that the fresh rain spell might continue from Thursday to Saturday.
