At least eight people were killed and six injured during a drone strike by the US in Pakistan's North Waziristan region, media reported Tuesday.
It was the second drone attack Monday, Dawn online reported.
Intelligence sources said the drone targeted the residence of Taliban commander Habib in Shawal district, which stretches across both North and South Waziristan tribal regions.
The strike destroyed a compound which is situated in Mangroti area near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border region and appeared to be a transit point for militants across the border.
On Sunday, a drone strike had killed five people in Kand Ghar area of South Waziristan.
