Actor Tom Holland says that actors Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr helped him justify the character of Spiderman in the forthcoming film "Captain America: Civil War".

"At first it was pretty terrifying. But I was always in such good hands. I have been working with Chris and Robert very closely and they have helped me through every step of the way. They guided me on what I really needed to do in order to do justice to the character," Holland said in a statement.

Downey Jr plays role of American superhero Iron Man, while Evans plays role of Captain America. The superheroes will be seen fighting against each other in "Captain America: Civil War", which release in India and US on May 6.

Holland further revealed that he realised he was cast as Spiderman through the photo-sharing website Instagram.

"It was a crazy way to find out! I was playing golf with my dad and I had just lost so I was really sad. I had just come home and was looking at my Instagram when I saw that marvel had posted about Spiderman and mentioned 'go to our website to find out who the new Spiderman is'" the 19-year-old said.

"I went to the website and I sort of slammed by computer screen without reading the entire article, that's how nervous I was! But it said my name and it was the greatest day I've ever had," he added.

"Captain America: Civil War" also features actors like Scarlett Johanson, Paul Bethany, Sebastian Stan, Elizabeth Olsen, Jeremy Renner, Paul Rudd, Emily Vandercamp and Daniel Bruhl.

Holland will debut as the American superhero in "Captain America: Civil War", which will act as a teaser for the reboot of "Spider-Man".

Sony Pictures Entertainment has teamed with Marvel Studios to produce the sixth movie in its franchise.
