Explosives were recovered on the outskirts of state capital Ranchi in Jharkhand on early Monday and one person was arrested in this connection, police said.
According to the police, the explosives were recovered from Dundigada village situated under Tupudana Police Station here and one Sahil Khan was arrested for ferrying the consignment.
The recovered explosives included ammonium nitrate, fuse wire and sulphur gunpowder, among other things. The explosives were being carried in a vehicle bearing a "marriage" sticker.
The recovery came on a tip-off that explosives were ferried in a luxury vehicle with the sticker.
Two smugglers managed to escape but one was nabbed by the police.
