English club Chelsea's Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas said his team is capable of getting "the confidence back" after a good performance in their 4-0 Champions League victory against Israeli side Maccabi Tel Aviv.
In statements published on Chelsea's official website on Thursday, the Spaniard said "This was a vital win, a top performance from start to end and we need Chelsea to play like this week in and week out. Hopefully it is the start of a long run for us to put smiles back on our faces and get the confidence back," reports Efe.
Chelsea triumphed on Wednesday following a series of disappointing results in the English Premier League, in which the team of Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho claimed the full three points once in five rounds, and currently hold the 17th position in the standings.
In this regard, Fabregas said, "We didn't start the season well and when you see Chelsea so far down the table you have to check twice to make sure this is happening."
Fabregas turned his thoughts to their next EPL game which comes rapidly with the lunchtime home derby against Arsenal, saying that "we have a big game again on Saturday so we must not rest and enjoy this week's win, we just want to get another win and then we will see what happens."
"It is a London derby, we know Arsenal are a quality team, they play top football and it will be tough but we want to win and we can achieve that on Saturday," he added.
