A day after a class 11 student committed suicide in Jharkhand, parents of the boy on Saturday registered an FIR against the Principal and Vice Principal of the school, police said.
The FIR was lodged after Ankur Ambastha, a student of Navodya School in Koderma district, on Friday committed suicide by hanging himself with a ceiling fan inside his hostel room.
Ambastha's parents have blamed the school administration for his death, the police said.
The school administration official have left the school after incident fearing backlash.
As large number of people gathered at the Sadar Hospital on Friday and demanded Education Minister Neea Yadav to take action, the minister had arrived at the hospital and directed district administration to probe the incident.
Ambastha's body was later sent to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Ranchi, for postmortem.
