A fire broke out in a building in Park Street area here on Sunday but no casualty or injuries were reported, a West Bengal minister said.
The fire broke out on the eighth floor of the Park Centre building and took 10 fire tenders nearly three hours to douse it.
"The fire has been doused and there is no report of any injury or casualty. The cause of the fire is yet to be established," Fire Services Minister Javed Khan said.
"We are probing the cause of the fire and in case of any negligence or lack of fire safety measure, we will initiate legal action," Khan said.
