Sixteen Delhi-bound trains were delayed on Wednesday morning due to fog in the region though the national capital experienced a sunny day later in the day, the railways said.
Northern Railway said another eight trains was rescheduled.
Flight operations, however, remained unaffected.
The maximum temperature in Delhi settled at 26.2 degrees Celsius, three notches above average, Met officials said. Thursday is likely to be sunny too.
"There will be shallow to moderate fog on Thursday morning while the sky may be partly cloudy throughout the day," said the India Meteorological Department here.

The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 25 and 11 degrees, respectively.
Wednesday's minimum settled at 8.6 degrees, two notches below the season's average, while the maximum humidity was 97 percent.
The visibility at 8.30 a.m. was 200 metres.
Tuesday's maximum was 24.2 degrees, a notch above the season's average, while the minimum settled at 9.2 degrees.
