Valencia defender Nicolas Otamendi returned to training with his Spanish football team here on Monday before heading to Germany for the second pre-season training phase.
The Argentinian international sparked some controversy earlier in the summer before leaving to join his national team for Copa America in Chile, when he suggested he might leave Valencia for a stronger club, reports Xinhua.
Two months later, Otamendi is still with Valencia and has returned to train under coach Nuno Espirito Santo. Otamendi arrived at Antonio Puchades stadium early on Monday along with the rest of his teammates, including compatriot Rodrigo de Paul.
Following the morning session, the team will head to Dortmund in the afternoon.
