Syrian government announced Wednesday that a total of four journalists have been kidnapped in the country since June.
The latest report of the two journalists was made public now. But they were actually made captive in June, days after two other journalists were captured by unidentified people while travelling to Syria's Aleppo city.
"Nicolas Henin, a reporter and Peter Torres, a photographer are held in Syria. To respect the wishes of the families, the announcement of their kidnap had been delayed so far and kept confidential until now," reported Xinhua citing the foreign ministry.
Abducted in June 22, Henin was preparing a report for Le Point and the Arte channel, and Torres was covering the elections in the city of Raqqa.
Earlier, journalist Didier Francois and freelance photographer Edouard Elias working for the local broadcaster Europe1 were also kidnapped June 6 when they were en route to Aleppo in Syria.
