Four tourists from Punjab and a guide who went missing in flash floods a day earlier in Shimla district were yet to be traced, officials said on Wednesday.
The rescuers, however, recovered their vehicle from the debris in Loti rivulet, a tributary of the Sutlej river, in Sunni tehsil, some 60 km from here.
"The search is on and we are in continuous touch with the relatives of the missing persons," Deputy Commissioner Rohan Chand Thakur told IANS.
He said the tourists from Nawanshahr town in Punjab had come to the hill station for river rafting. However, they were swept away in flash floods while travelling in their Scorpio jeep.
Eight people were on board when the tragedy occurred. Three of them were saved.
The missing people are Saranpreet Singh, Harpreet Singh, Abanjot Singh, Aman and guide Titu.
