Local boy Arjun Narendran and Feroze Khan continued their dominance by posting fourth consecutive wins as Round 3 of the MMSC-FMSCI National Racing Championship (NRC) commenced at the Kari Motor Speedway here Saturday.

Meanwhile, 16-year-old rising star Tarun Reddy recorded a start-to-finish win in the MRF Formula Ford 1600 Championship ahead of Advait Deodhar while Mangalore's Dean Mascarenhas and Varun Anekar both recorded wins in the Toyota Etios Motor Trophy.

Defending champion Feroze took the honours in the Indian Junior Touring Cars (IJTC) race for his fourth consecutive win as did Arjun in Indian Touring Cars (ITC) while veteran Bala Vijay topped the newly-introduced Super Stock class that was run in wet conditions.

The first race of the day saw the Formula LGB 1300 category in action and it was championship leader Ajay Kini who took the win. It was a close battle for second place with Goutam Parekh just finishing ahead of Deepak Chinappa and S. Narendran. The three were separated by less than a 10th of a second in one of the closest finishes of the day.

Race 2 of the Formula LGB 1300 started off badly for championship contender Goutam as his car refused to move on the warm-up lap. Narendran took advantage of his reverse grid pole position to lead from start to finish.
