Ace filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola is set to publish "The Godfather Notebook", a reproduction of the working notebook he used during the making of the Oscar-winning 1972 film "The Godfather".

The 720-page book features Coppola's handwritten notes on the production and his thoughts on the movie, offering an unprecedented look into the creative process of one of the greatest filmmakers of the late 20th century, reports hollywoodreporter.com.

"This notebook was my private work reference to 'The Godfather' film, and after many years, I'm excited to share it with those who may be interested. It is the key to understanding what went into making the film from Mario Puzo's novel," Coppola said in a statement.

The book features never-before-seen photographs of the making of "The Godfather", and Coppola has written an introduction to accompany the book.

Published by Regan Arts, the book will go on sale from November 15 onwards.
