The second edition of the Millennium Marathon, a Pan-African run for peace and health, was launched in Accra on Monday.
This year's race is dubbed "Africa on the Run" and will present an agenda to give attention to a continental drive to support the United Nations "Sustainable Development Goals" of good health and well-being, Xinhua news agency reported.
It will bring together over 40,000 local and international runners for the main event on September 3.
This year's winner will take home prize offer worth over $150,000.
