Awarded man of the match for claiming three wickets for 27, Mumbai Indians' offie Harbhajan Singh on Sunday said he was glad the visitors took early wickets to rattle the strong Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batting line-up in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2015 encounter.
Mumbai Indian beat RCB by 18 runs to clinch their first victory of IPL 2015.
"I am glad that we picked early wickets. Hopefully, we can continue to do that, Harbhajan said at the post match presentation ceremony.
The 34-year-old played his 100th IPL match on Sunday. When asked about the feat, he said, "It's something which I am happy about. Really happy to be playing for MI. It is good to be doing something for the team. The first six overs."
When asked about the importance of Chris Gayle's wicket which he claimed, Harbhajan said: "We were on target and didn't want Gayle to get going. They had some serious players, ABD is batting in a different league, but the start was important."
