The Delhi Medical Association (DMA) on Saturday urged the central government to re-conduct the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) which saw large scale irregularities, including leakage of answer keys.

The AIPMT examination was held on May 3.

"We appeal to the Indian government and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to re-conduct the AIPMT examination as soon as possible to safeguard the interests of the honest and hard working students," Alok Bhandari, DMA honorary secretary, told reporters.

Four people, including two dentists and an MBBS student, were arrested in Haryana for an alleged conspiracy to leak the AIPMT answer sheets.

The Supreme Court had also said that all those who benefited from the leak of the AIPMT question papers had not been identified and if there was a lurking doubt over the integrity of the test then it may address the plea for re-conduct of the examination.
