Gujarat Governor O.P. Kohli, who has been given additional charge of Maharashtra, arrived here Sunday evening to be sworn-in.
Kohli was asked to take additional charge of Maharashtra by a Rashtrapati Bhavan communique issued early Sunday in place of incumbent K. Sankaranarayanan who was shifted to Mizoram. Following his abrupt transfer, Sankaranarayanan resigned from his post Sunday evening.
Upon his arrival from Gandhinagar, Kohli was accorded a ceremonial guard of honour by Mumbai police.
