The 21-year-old is expected to join his new team Tuesday after agreeing to a three-and-a-half year deal with the German outfit, Xinhua reports.
"I look forward to working with Franca and I am sure that he is motivated, ambitious and looking to seize his chance," Hannover coach Mirko Slomka said.
"I have great experience working with South Americans. I appreciate their commitment and enthusiasm for learning and convinced that Franca is no different."
Franca, whose real name is Welington Wildy Muniz dos Santos, joins Johan Djourou and Andre Hoffmann as new additions to Hannover's squad in the winter transfer window.
