Haryana will renovate 134 holy pilgrimages located in five districts of the state as described in holy relics Mahabharata, Ramayana and Vamana Purana, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced on Friday.
These places are located in Kurukshetra, Karnal, Kaithal, Panipat and Jind districts.
Khattar, who visited all 13 holy pilgrimages in Karnal district on Friday, announced development works amounting to about Rs 18.39 crore in these pilgrimages through the Kurukshetra Development Board.
"A society which preserves and promotes its cultural heritage passes on moral values to the young generation," he said.
Haryana has a glorious history, especially of Kurukshetra where Lord Krishna delivered the celestial message of Bhagavad Gita, Khattar said.
