A 35-year-old woman was abducted from Gururgram in Haryana, allegedly gang-raped in a moving car and dumped in Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday morning, police said.

The woman was abducted from near her house in Sohna in Gurugram district around 8.30 p.m. on Monday by three men in a Swift car.

They raped her in the moving car and then threw her out near Yatharth building in Kasna in Greater Noida, a senior police officer said.

Locals on Tuesday morning noticed her lying along a road and alerted the police.

The Uttar Pradesh Police later took the woman to Gurugram to verify the sequence of events.

Senior Superintendent of Police Luv Kumar said although she sustained some abrasions on her body, they were awaiting a final medical examination.

"A team of officers have taken her to Sohna from where she was allegedly abducted," the officer said.

Luv Kumar told IANS that Gurugram and Greater Noida police are jointly investigating the case. "We're examining CCTV footage to identify the three suspects," he added.

The woman told the police that she originally hailed from Rajasthan's Bharatpur.
