Electricals major Havells India is looking at Rs 1,000 crore revenue from its Standard brand in the next three-four years and also plans to widen its distribution network, a company official said here on Wednesday.
"The Standard was a Rs 200 crore brand in 2014 and we have doubled our turnover under the brand to Rs 400 crore by March 2017. Now, we are looking to take it as a Rs 1,000 crore brand in the next 3-4 years," company's Associate Director Y.K. Gupta told reporters.
Gupta said the group acquired the brand in 2000 but it started expanding the brand from 2014 and it has been contributing to the group's bottomline.
The group plans to introduce new designs and models across products under the brand in order to meet the target, he said.
"We are going to launch 15 new models of fans for the brand and now we are launching a new range of water heaters," Gupta said.
According to him, the company aims at expanding its dealership network to 3,000 in the next one year from the current network of 2,500 and it is trying for 80 per cent presence in Tier I to V cities in the next three to four years.
"We presently have only 35 brand shops (for the particular brand) and plan to increase it to 50 by end the current fiscal," he added.
