Heavy to very heavy rain is likely to occur at a few places in the interior and coastal Odisha, the weatherman said here Friday.
The low pressure formed over west-central Bay of Bengal off north coastal Andhra Pradesh-south Odisha coasts lay over northwest and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal off Odisha coast, an official of the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre told IANS.
As a result, rain or thunder showers would occur over most places of the state during the next two days, he said.
Heavy to very heavy rainfall would occur at a few places over the interior and coastal belt, the weatherman said.
Squally winds with speed reaching 45-55 km per hour and gusting to 60 km per hour are predicted along and off the state coast. As the sea condition is expected to be rough to very rough, fishermen are advised not to venture out into the sea, he said.
