Save the Children Tuesday appealed to countries and people across the world to raise money to provide relief to thousands affected by cyclone Phailin in Odisha and Andhra Pradesh.
"We aim to raise around Rs.21 crore for those affected by Phailin," said an official of Save the Children, a non-governmental organisation.
The goal is to alleviate suffering, restore dignity and ensure timely recovery of the worst affected families in Odisha and Andhra Pradesh, the NGO added.
"The money raised would help procure integrated house-hold kits containing food baskets, hygiene kits, tarpaulin sheets, blankets and solar lamps," it said.
