The hills of Himachal Pradesh on Thursday continued to experience warm weather due to prevailing dry weather, with the state's Una town recording a high of 38.4 degrees Celsius, a Met official said here.
"Temperatures increased due to the ongoing dry spell. Shimla recorded a high of 25.4 degrees Celsius, 3.8 degrees above the average for this time of the year," an official of the meteorological office told IANS.
Dharamsala, the headquarters of the Tibetan government-in-exile, recorded 30.4 degrees Celsius, two notches above average.
Kalpa in Kinnaur district recorded a maximum of 20.6 degrees Celsius, while it was 20 degrees in Manali.
The Met department said a western disturbance is likely to be active in the western Himalayas from May 2, bringing rain and thundershowers.
