Hoeng-Keat gives Smashers 2-1 lead

Malaysia's World No.2 Boon Hoeng Tan and Kien Keat Koo gave the Krrish Delhi Smashers a 2-1 lead in the first tie of the inaugural Indian Badminton League (IBL) here Wednesday.

The Malaysians beat Pune Pistons' K.T. Rupesh Kumar and Sanave Thomas 21-13, 21-16 in men's doubles at the Siri Fort Sports Complex.

Earlier, Delhi's B. Sai Praneeth won against Pune's Tien Minh Nguyen in the first men's singles while Pune's Juliane Schenk drubbed Delhi's Jindapon Nichaon in women's singles competition.
