The Oktoberfest Goa, a three day beer and music festival here, drew more than 1,000 people, all from different walks of life and different parts of the globe.

People from countries like France, Italy, Germany, US and Britain were a part of the crowd. The Indian crowd here was mostly from Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai as well as the local Goans.

Age was no bar here, with not just the young but even the 50 plus people were enjoying the music.

With the entire audience swaying to the beats, the first day of the Oktoberfest Goa Friday turned out to be a huge success, and the crowd is looking forward to the next two days.

Here's what the audience had to say about the first day of the festival:

"I had super fun today and I am looking forward to the next two days of the festival now," said Nicholas, a local resident.

"The stage is just kick-a**. This is the first time I am attending a music festival and I guess I will be an attendee at all the music festivals happening in the country. Now I am waiting for the next two day of performances," said Vijay, a Bangalore-based student.

"The crowd, the stage and the music, everything is just so awesome here. I am really loving it," said Linda from Italy.

"They have an exciting line up of artists here. Its so f****** awesome. I can't wait for day two to start," Karthik, a Bangalore-based MNC employee, said.

"Oktoberfest has chosen the perfect venue for the festival. I am loving it here. I am eagerly waiting for the second and third day to start. They have such an exciting line up of artists here," said Jenna from France.

The first day of Oktoberfest Goa had DJ Marco V and DJ Clement on the disc and the crowd going crazy to their beats.

The festival started here at the Nazir ground Oct 25 and will conclude Oct 27.
