The national capital experienced a hot and sunny Wednesday as the maximum temperature settled five notches above the season's average at 35 degrees Celsius. Similar weather is expected on Thursday, the Met Office said.
"The sky will be partly cloudy in the morning but will turn sunny in the afternoon," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The maximum and minimum temperatures will hover around 35 and 19 degrees Celsius.
Wednesday morning was sunny and the minimum temperature was recorded at 18.5 degrees Celsius - two notches above the season's average.
The day's maximum humidity was recorded at 98 percent.
The weather on Tuesday was warm with the maximum temperature recorded at 35.1 degrees Celsius, five notches above the season's average while the minimum temperature settled at 17 degrees Celsius, average for the season.
