Hot Thursday in Delhi, no change Friday

The city experienced a hot, sunny Thursday with clear skies with the maximum temperature settling a notch above average at 40.8 degrees Celsius. The Met office has forecast similar weather Friday.

"The weather will be sunny and hot tomorrow (Friday) as well," an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.

The maximum and minimum temperatures will hover around 42 and 26 degrees Celsius, respectively, added the official.

Thursday's minimum temperature was 25.4 degrees, a notch above average.

Wednesday's maximum temperature settled a notch above average at 40.5 degrees Celsius while the minimum was recorded at 24.8 degrees Celsius.
