Defence Minister and former Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Saturday voted at a polling booth here and said that BJP will return to power in the state.
Hinting at his own return, Parrikar said:"I like Goan food... now its upto you what meaning you make of it."
After casting his vote, Parrikar said to the media here that he expects BJP to get a two-third majority.
Expecting a heavy voter turnout, Parrikar said that Goa might cross last assembly poll's turnout of 84 per cent.
Polling for Goa's 40 assembly seats got underway at 7 a.m.
A total of 251 candidates are contesting for 40 assembly seats.
The main parties in the fray are the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, Congress, Aam Aadmi Party, Nationalist Congress Party, Shiv Sena, Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party, Goa Suraksha Manch, among others.
The 2012 polls recorded 82.2 per cent turnout.
