IDFC's Q4 net profit up 4%

IDFC on Friday reported a rise of 3.84 per cent in its consolidated net profit for the fourth quarter of 2016-17.

The company's profit after tax stood at Rs 135 crore as compared to Rs 130 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.

According to the company, the total operating income stood at Rs 731 crore -- up 4.88 per cent -- from Rs 697 crore earned in Q4 of 2015-16.

On a yearly basis, the company reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 699 crore for the financial year 2016-17, while the net operating income stood at Rs 3,914 crore.

"The Board (of Directors of IDFC) has recommended a dividend of Rs 0.25 per share," it said in a statement.
