India announces new envoy to Uganda

A.V.S. Ramesh Chandra, the current deputy chief of mission in the Indian embassy in Ankara, has been appointed as the next high commissioner to Uganda, it was announced Tuesday.

Chandra, an Indian Foreign Service officer of the 1989 batch, is expected to take up his assignment shortly, said the statement.
