A four-member Libyan delegation, which returned from India, has shown interest in technical assistance and capacity building projects as well as training of Libyan diplomats in India, the Indian embassy here said.

The delegation, led by Ambassador Mohamed Ali Zenati, director general (Asia & Australia), in the foreign ministry visited India Feb 10-11 for the first director general-level foreign office consultations over a wide range of bilateral and regional issues.

The talks were held soon after External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid's visit to Morocco and Tunisia with India evincing interest in pursuing the potential of the Maghreb countries as a springboard for the European market.

Libya is an Arabic speaking country in the Maghreb region of North Africa bordered by the Mediterranean Sea to the north.
