India post 309/3 against Australia in first ODI

India posted a massive 309/3 in 50 overs against hosts Australia in the opening game of the five-match One-Day International (ODI) series at the WACA Ground here on Tuesday.

Opener Rohit Sharma (171 not out) slammed a superb century while Virat Kohli (91) gave him good support to help team post a challenging total.
