Indian Free style, Greco Roman style wrestling junior teams selected
The Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) on Thursday selected a 16-member team for the Junior Asian Free Style, Greco Roman Style and Female Wrestling Championship to be held in Myanmar from July 8 to 12.
The selection committee, under the chairmanship WFI President Brijbhushan Sharan Singh, selected the Indian junior Free Style and Greco Roman style teams through a selection trial. The selection trial for female wrestlers will be held in Lucknow on Friday, WFI Assistant Secretary Vinod Tomar said in a statement on Thursday.
The following are the names of those selected:
Free Style: Bharat Patil (50 kg), Ravi Kumar (55 kg), Amit (60 kg), Vikas (66 kg), Dinesh (74 kg), Parveen (84 kg), Rubal Jeet (96 kg), Dushyant (120 kg).
Greco Roman Style: Inakumba (50 kg), Manish (55 kg), Ravinder (60 kg), Praveen (66 kg), Manjeet (74 kg), Rahul (84 kg), Ravi (96 kg), Mehar Singh (120 kg).
