A Royal Air Force of Oman chopper has rescued an injured Indian national who was on board a commercial ship in Omani territorial waters, according to a media report.
The man had sustained serious injuries while crossing the Omani territorial waters, 140 nautical miles off Muscat, the Times of Oman reported on Monday.
A helicopter of the Oman air force was involved in the rescue operation and the injured man was evacuated to the Khoula Hospital for treatment. It was not clear from the report as to how the person sustained injuries.
There are some 700,000 Indians living in Oman, forming the largest expatriate group in the country.
